Changing our Perspective of Math Education: At A Glance

What: Changing our Perspective of Mathematics Education
Who: Pre-K to Algebra 1 Math teachers  from Kingfisher, Okarche, Geary, Calumet, Maple, Darlington, Riverside, Banner, Minco, Union City, Tuttle, Piedmont and El Reno.
Where: Etta Dale Junior High, 600 South Bickford Ave., El Reno, OK  73036
When: Saturday, November 2, from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.


Come join nationally recognized math teachers as they lead participants through experiences using common hands-on manipulatives to build conceptual understanding in mathematics in kindergarten through Algebra I. You will walk away with a deeper understanding of mathematics education plus loads of ideas and resources.  Support will continue by collaborating with other educators through a Professional Learning Community in Google Groups, for participants to collaborate, post resources and lesson ideas, discuss issues and successes and informally chat about mathematics education and best practices.
