However, the intent of this site is much broader than just having a few people post a few things that a few people may or may not read. We want YOU, the OKMath Teachers to develop this site to its fullest potential! To do that, we need a structure for how people might volunteer and serve.

So, we’ve provided a fairly simple form below where you can sign up to do more than just Subscribe.

  • Contributors – The contributor is the lifeline of this site. We need people to help us provide reviews of things like curriculum, textbook, apps,  manipulatives, and other such materials that teachers need to know about in Resource Round-Ups. We also need folks who can help build weekly PLC Prompts, post about various PD Opportunities, and otherwise keep the conversation flowing. We don’t have all the details figured out yet, but we are hoping to strike a balance between Contributors and Editors so that we can ensure a high-level of accuracy and professionalism throughout our site. If you are already reviewing resources and have your ear to the ground on these types of things, we’d love to have you. Contributors who are consistently adding high-quality input will be reviewed for Editor status.
  • Comment Moderators – The moderator plays one key role: Ensure the conversation stays civil. We need folks who will review comments on a regular basis, not as a filter for positive vs. negative input, but for constructive vs. destructive. OKMath Teachers welcomes all sorts of input. We believe that if you haven’t found something to complain about, you aren’t looking hard enough. However, we also believe that complaining is only really valuable if it is paired with constructive input that improves the situation and promotes conversation. If you feel like you can help us keep this site running in this way, please volunteer to be a Comment Moderator!
