Background
Last Summer, teachers across Oklahoma met to discuss the new academic standards for Mathematics and evaluate proposed needs of districts for successful implementation. Teachers determined needs and divided into smaller grade-band groups to create products and solutions. From this, multiple resources were developed – including this website, the elementary wikispace, the MS/HS Engines, the OKMath Mythbusters and more. For more information about the first convening and the teachers that participated, click here to visit our About page.
Moving Forward
We are very excited to have the opportunity to host a second convening! Participants can look forward to three days of intense collaborations and opportunities to create resources to support Oklahoma teachers.
Examples of potential resources include, but are not limited to:
- eBooks
- Lessons
- Reviews
- Virtual Modules
- Teaching Strategies
- Guidance Documents
- Updated versions of current OKMath resources
- Extended ongoing programs and projects for education
The possibilities will be driven by the vision of participating Oklahoma educators.
If you have a vision, solution, idea, please apply today! Bring your expertise, creativity, and a laptop computer!
I have a question on the dates for OKMath. It says June 9-11 and July 28-30. Would we attend both of these or just one?
Sorry Reena, I didn’t see this comment! You could attend both or just one.
