It’s not a small thing when someone chooses to leave their job and make their way to the hallowed halls of the Hodge Building here at 23rd and Lincoln. And yet, passionate educators continue to make the leap when their motivation and the circumstances intersect. We are just now at one of these intersections having recently lost Jennifer Lamb to her dream job with Santa Fe South Schools.
So, the courageous soul takes up the mantle of advocacy and stewardship for Oklahoma mathematics teachers yet again! Robbyn Glinsmann is not a newcomer though. She has a great record with teachers and colleagues serving Edmond as the Elementary Mathematics Content Specialist for the past few years and as a Mathematics Instructional Coach before that. Her experience in the classroom is diverse, having taught elementary grades in both rural and suburban settings.
All those who know Robbyn know at least two things about her: (1) She is an enormous wealth of knowledge and (2) she seems to have an un-ending well of enthusiasm, energy, and smiles that she can draw from endlessly.
Robbyn comes to us from Edmond where she is married and has two beautiful girls. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Nazarene University. Along with Jennifer Lamb, Robbyn was essential in the launch of the Teacher Leader and Instructional Coaches Network last year and plans to continue this important work.
